Question Business Card Question - 03-17-2008, 11:04 AM

Hi, I'm going to take some networking cards with me to Japan so host families and friends can contact me and in case I meet someone I'd like to keep in touch with.

I was wondering if I should write my name backwards or forwards in katakana.

The card so far is..

I would write your name in katakana as アマンダ・パークス as would most other Japanese.

Okay cool. I thought that because Japanese write their last name first that I should if my name was being written in Japanese. It's so confusing!

No problem. I know why you thought that. But the only Westerner who puts his family name fiirst would be Elton John. (Sorry about the less than funny joke, I had one too many beer with dinner today...)
