二日酔い (ふつかよい) = Hangover

Literally the word means 'two-day drunkunness'.

居酒屋 (いざかや) = Izakaya

These are casual, relatively-cheap places for drinking and eating in Japan.

酒豪 (しゅごう) = A Very Heavy Drinker

The second kanji 豪 means a great or giant.

電気(でんき)
Electricity!

Partial question follows with this one, about the character.
I recognize the top half as 雨, but I can't for the life of me figure out the original bottom half.

That bottom half is not used by itself so I've never even given much thought to it. And my kanji dictionary didn't list it as a kanji, either. We may need a big dictionary here.

Isn't it a radical?
Like the left part in
休 代 仕 使
徑 径 行
酒 港 決
抵 提 挺

or the bottom part in
馬 鳴 点 魚
趙 道 通

These ones contain some frequent too
仏 私 至 比 能 筋 策
Or the "roof" ones
余 食 会
Or the right part of these ones
域 我 載 栽
I ask because I read smthg about, but I'm still lookin to figure out how radicals work.
I've just started to study kanji and I'm looking for anything to help me out...
