Kanji help <3.

Hi guys! My name's Matt, I'm 18 years old and live in Australia.

One of my friends recently came back from Japan and ever since then I've become really interested in learning Japanese, although my school doesn't teach it.

I was wondering if anyone could please help me out with a translation of two kanji symbols? <3 I would really appreciate it.

I think the last one means 'to speak'...but I might be wrong so don't take my word for it

The second kanji of the first word is not used in Japan. In Japan, we write it as:

幸運

and it means 'good luck'. The second kanji (one at bottom) '吉'　means the same thing.

So the first two symbols (top) are basically incorrect, but the bottom one is correct (and means "Good Luck"?)

I'm hoping to learn more of the language, I find it really interesting.

No, the first kanji (one on left) of the compound is correct, and I cannot say the second kanji (one on right) of the compound is incorrect because I think that is how they write it in China. It's drastically simplified.

It's probably extremely easy to tell I'm a "newbie" from these questions, but which of these does the above symbol's meaning fit best.

1) "I have really good luck." (noun, I guess?)
2) "Good luck in the test tomorrow."

I really appreciate all your help. I hope I'm not coming across as annoying just yet.

Take a kanji and you remove or add something, and alter the rest, etc. Any kanji can turn into another!!

言う if i stand across the room and squint they look kinda similar lol :P or do you mean the last one in the first compound :P
