You mean the "to" in 落とした? It's just written in another font, it's not weird at all.
There isn't any "tatara" in the next sentence, probably you're referring to 戦い (tataka-i). Also in this case, い is written in another font.

The syllabes ばれし are attached to 選, they have no meaning alone!
選ぶ "to choose"
選ばれし者 (erabareshimono) means "the chosen one".

The complete sentence is ったく病んでるな.
ったく is a contraction of まったく ("really", "indeed")
病んでる is the te-iru form of 病む ("to suffer", "to be sick").
Literally, this exclamation could be translated "it's really sick".
