The Mouses Marriage -

Sorry about the placement of this thread.. I wasnt sure where to put it. As part of my course I have to retale a folk tale of my choice to an audience of 40 children and about 20 adults.. I did some digging and I've decided to use The Mouses Marriage as my tale. Is this really a folk tale from Japan or was the website i found lying to me and just gathered tales from asia in general?
Do the characters in the japanese verison have any names? all i can find is king mouse, queen mouse, princess mouse and poor boy mouse?
Any help appreciated!
