For me I am using a software that allows me to type Japanese, but I don't recommend it as it sometime crashes my computer. (Then why do I still use it? 'coz I am too used to it now....)
If you are using Windows OS, in Control Panel there should be a option named "Regional and Languange Options", click it and a window pops. Under the tab "Languages", you can click "Details" under Text services and input languages, where you can choose other input languages in here. |

Firstly, your problem is that you're using a PC instead of a Mac.
I'd recommend that you set your PC on fire to give yourself a good excuse to go out and get a Mac. Then click a button that allows to type in Japanese and have fun. How in the world do people reach 1,000+ posts? Skadoosh.
