(Yes you could.) But if you're using (~mashita), you might want to make it (wo nomimashita)

Seeing as how he didn't say any of those words, it seems like he's just refining the very same things we practiced with our first Japanese textbooks. I understand there are a lot of jerks lately that only want to translate anime lyrics in kawaii pocky mangaland, but if we're going to rid the forum of them we need to pick our targets more wisely and not alienate those who genuinely want to learn Japanese
