Book on Pronunciation

I'm a looking for the best book I can find on Japanese pronunciation rules. If any one has some suggestions I would immensely appreciate it.

Any beginner's textbook will explain the pronunciation rules in two pages, or you can just Google for "Japanese pronunciation"; no need for a whole book. You can also try watching videos of anime or Japanese TV shows, to get an idea of what the more foreign sounds are like.

They don't do it properly. e.g they will say 　"る　＝Ru"　but that's not how you pronounce it and you need to have it explained what it sounds like (need to listen to native speakers really).

Uh, yeah, and that's what any pronunciation guide will do

I agree on the need to listen to native speakers though, that's important no matter what your stage of learning is.

Agreed. You'd never learn the pitch difference between 橋 (bridge) and 箸 (chopsticks) if you didn't listen to native speakers.
