You make a very strong point. I think the fact that Jim Breen actively involves himself in the development of WWWJDIC at a grassroots level is the reason there is such an abundance of katakana names and such. He's a good guy. Hangs out on USENET at sci.lang.japan. Pretty smart.

My polite Japanese (desu, -masu...) is poorly lacking, as I excell in casual forms, though I still have the occasionally grammatical error.

丁寧語: polite language
下手: the opposite of 上手 (it's in reverse, funny ain't it). Pronounced へた, it means unskillful, awkward, poor, etc.

Can also mean a Sumo wrestler's belt haha.

分かったな?笑

僕ははっきりしなかったかな・・・?
