I'm with chryuop on this one, though he could have worded his post a bit more... diplomatically.
Get over yourself Kyle and stop being an a$$. It's obvious in all your posts. |

I said we should be nice to the native Japanese because they have what we need: skill with Japanese. If you piss them off, they'll leave, and we'll all lose Nagoyankee et al. I never once said you need me. In fact, I strongly implied I'm not nearly enough for this board to survive as a good resource. Suffice to say, I think your own insecurities are reading egotism into what I post usually post. That's the only explanation for this: Holy crap, the two threads you have started I was the first response both times, and it was frigging helpful and positive both times!!!. http://www.japanforum.com/forum/japa...djectives.html http://www.japanforum.com/forum/japa...80%80-づ.html In that last one, you even responded thanking me. Holy frigging crap! Do you want helpful people to start ignoring your threads? You're sure providing provocation. Maybe I should just remind people of how you treat those who help you out, and we'll see what kind of response you get, you ungrateful jerk. I'd ask a mod like MMM to close this thread, but it's neither your thread or my thread, and I don't want the OP to suffer for this, so I'm just going to ignore you from now on. Peace. |

Guys guys, calm down. I am the one who answered back to arrogance and you don't need to fight for that.
As per being ignored...I usually post the same questions in 3 different Japanese forums and then compare the answers and if something is not clear I ask my penpal in Japan. So as u can see you really don't need to undergo rudeness of anyone coz no1 is indispensable. Peace and I would close it here 暗闇の中 歩くしかねぇ everything’s gonna be okay 恐れることねぇ 辛い時こそ胸を張れ |

Furthermore, once you get past Tae Kim, most of what you have left to learn will not exist online in any comprehensive manner. It will be a series of "am I using this right? Time to google for it or ask on JF!" For example, if you want to know the subtle differences between the たら/ば/なら/と conditional structures, you won't find a great answer on the same webpage as you find answers to 100s of other questions. Rather, you'll need to google something like: Quote:
tl;dr Learn everything on Tae Kim. It will easily cover everything up to a 下中級(げちゅうきゅう, lower intermediate level). Edit This is also one of the reasons why you want to take classes: websites cannot possibly provide the structure you need for an intermediate-advanced level of language acquisition. This is something you learn in classes, and then you hit a level where you read materials in Japanese and spot things you don't fully understand and ask. |
