Yuusuke-san is starting to practice 日本語 agian - 10-22-2009, 02:43 AM

Well I want to practice Japanese again since it's my anticipated major I'm going with when I go to College next year.

So i was wondering if anyone has any sites that could help at all?

Anything would help really,
Sites with Kanji flash cards.
Sites with sentence help.
Verbs etc.

Plus I'd like a partner to practice with. Usually when I do people either add me, but never really sign on or chat. and I think it would be really helpful for the learning expierence if I had some kind of partner(s)

please and thank you (=

Add another tally mark to our running total of "requests for sites with Japanese instruction that have been answered identically a hundred times before but cannot be arsed to use the search feature."

Yuusuke, download Anki, google for "JLPT [whatever level you want to study for] kanji/vocab" and make some flashcards. You learn better making them yourself.

If you're at an intermediate level, start reading newspaper articles, too. Add any word or phrase you don't understand already to your Anki deck. Get any translation help with that here or via a dictionary.

That is all you need (oh yeah, and study Tae Kim for grammar).

He has never mentioned how long he studied Japanese the first time and what his level was before stopping. I guess answering him in Japanese is no use to him or anyone else who has just started the study of the language....if not showing off by your side for the fact that you can write Japanese.

Yuusuke, what Masaegu wanted to point out is that you never use SAN when you speak about yourself....you just use your name without adding さん.

(Kyle, I agree with you, it looks like he is speaking with the third person. However when you address directly in Japanese to someone you can use the third person...so I am not sure it works the same as in English using the third person for oneself. A native answer would help alot).

Sorry to use this thread, but Mesaegu clearly got offended and PMed me without accepting replies buh!

Dear Mesaegu, I haven't read any of Yuusuke's previous messages, BUT...someone who says need help to learn Japanese and ask for sites where he can get some help (like verbs and words) and receives a reply in Japanese and in a kind of Japanese that wouldn't even be easy for a newbie of the language, if you ask me, is a very a$$hole behaviour.

If you want to help give corrections that can help anyone then do so, if you have to play the smarta$$, well then expect people to point that out to you!

Now, now. Let's all admit the Japanese natives here have the upper hand because they have scarce resources (knowledge of native Japanese) that are in high demand here. We have to bow and scrape to them, not call them anuses.

I didn't know he is Japanese...I guess I will let you guys bow for me too then LOL. The knowledge of a language doesn't buy my respect, actions do.
