Konichiwa! I'm interesting in learning Japanese, too. What I would do is go to a bookstore and buy a Japanese audio cd and book. They have all kinds of language stuff. Everything from German to Dutch and so on. I don't know if you have a Books-a-Million in England but you can try at the bookstore. (I'm sure England has one.) If you're looking for a friend who can teach you Japanese, sorry; I'm American lol. But there are plenty and I do mean a lot of Japanese people on this site that will be happy to help you out. Good luck!
Sayonara!

Tell you what, just share or exchange convos with folks here, try getting this japanese book i recommend it " Genki 1" and also a software called "Tell me more" it is really helpful, though i rarely use them both. I just chat with my japanese friends abd learn a few stuff. Besides I have someone who is not japanese who helps a few times.
