It is the combination of Kansai-ben and a young Japanese romanizing Japanese when that it something they are not accustomed to doing.
Long time no see. Seiko had her baby. Born in August. Machhan [You] is in Australia, right. I really want to go back again. I want to go surfing. I sent a message to Wide [Weeday] but got no response. Work hard at your job, Macchan. Next time I am in Bali I will study Indonesian. Thanks to you, Macchan, it was a lot of fun [literally: too much fun]. Rastaman vibes, yeah. Thanks for the message. I got your message. Thanks for the message. Write again. Work hard at your job. |

Quite normal Kansai Japanese conversation-usage -
06-02-2010, 05:01 AM
The previous person says this is poor Japanese, but this is very natural conversation in Kansai with a little misunderstandings of vowel, and any dialect must not have superior and/or inferior character because it is away from one-own "standard". It was quite insultive, and ignorant comment. Anyway! Here is my best guessing translation!
<translation> Hey! Long time no see! How are you? Seiko (a female friend) gave birth a new baby in August! (or, "Seiko" got a baby in the early-evening if we read "8 gatani" as "eit-gatani=yu-gatani guessing 8 as from its pronouciation "eit" than meaning "hachi". I wonder what 8 means in this writing. Phonetic? or in meaning? ) I heard that Macchan (a male friend) have been in Australia, right!? Gosh, I wish I could go back to Bari-Indonesia again for surfing, which I really wanna do again! "wide" (must be a name of a person probably "Hide"; a guy's name!?) I mailed "wide" though no reply, so "go for it" in your work, Macchan! (My guess is Macchan was supposed to get something fun from "wide" by mail through this writing-person, he/she hasn't got the reply from "wide" yet, so encouraging Macchan to wait a little bit while more and keep up his work for the time being.) Next time when I go to Bari, I study Indonasian a little bit more beforehand. It was such a great fun, and Macchan made it huge for me(us)! Thank you soooooo much, Macchan! I(we) do appreciate for your help! "rastaman vibration yeah": can not guess any Japanese from this writing. Thank you for the mail. I did receive it. I look forward to getting mails again from you. Take it easy, and good luck for your days and works! |
