Datsun/Shining sun - 01-09-2011, 09:44 PM

I searched the website entering the two-combination of key words, and found websites about horse races or dog races, not car races.

Of course in these cases, Shining sun is not the translation of Datsun. One is the name of an animal, and the other is the name of another animal or the name of the race itself.

I'm too *****.

Thank you so much friends.

This was one of the question asked in a lame lottery-like competition, I guess it was their way of saying no one's gonna get a prize

and you know what the correct answer was?! "Rising Sun"(!) which would have a similar(!!) pronunciation with "datsun" after being translated into Japanese

This is absolutely wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Whoever does this quiz obviously knows no Japanese at all.

The only possible way to break up "datsun" into two characters is "da" and "tsun," and neither of these can possibly have anything to do with "going up" or "the sun." Not even close. I mean, not even 25% of the sounds even occur in any phrase that can mean "rising sun."

Was it some kind of very crypic crossword where datsun is part of Japanese company, (Nissan) and Japan is known as the land of the rising sun, (ni -sun, san sounds like sun?)

Ohh it's one of those 'quiz shows' you have on tv at like 3 in the morning and its 5 hours of some lame presenter talking rubbish while he/she waits for bored insomniacs to call in and give answers to an impossible question that has a ridiculous answer. Those things should be made illegal -.-
