I do not know if this is of any help to you as you did not specificly mentioned details of your letter. In any case, the japanese way of writting letters is similar to the english way; that is the intro, topic details and ending.
The only difference is: When we begin, we always write to who and whom, or to whom it may concern, etc. In japanese, we write 敬具 at the top of the letter. Then we end our letter with 拝啓 at the right hand bottom for english equivalent of Yours Truly, Yours sincerely, etc. |

typo?
拝啓(haikei) at the first. 敬具(keigu) at the last. and other opening and closing words(english like), for friend. ~さん(様)へ - for her/his name san(sama)he ~より - from your name yori for your respecter. It remind me of shoujo manga. 親愛なる~様 sinainaru her/his name sama 貴方の~より anatano your name yori At first sentence, you put some season related word. e.g. We see signs of spring here and there. The rainy season began at last. How are you getting along in this hot summer? I hope you are quite well. etc... At final Greetings, you wish her/his happiness and health.
