Desu = are. desu nai = are not? - 05-29-2011, 07:00 AM

Like anata wa sekushi desu = You are sexy. Would Boku wa sekushi desu nai = I am not sexy?

That is just an example. Haha Any help?(=

Depends on the type of adjective, but you could go with the short forms くない or じゃない depending on what you're talking about, but not "desu nai."

be very careful, you are treading on very thin ice using romaji to ask questions about Japanese, you may just get chewed up and trolled to death for it

That's just a heads up.

regarding your question, the answer is no

Maybe it is a slang or regional variation, but not one I am familiar with.

Usually how you change to the negative depends on the type of adjective used.

I looked it up and sekushi- is a na adjective, セクシー(な)

so plain/casual form would be to put jya nai on the end.

boku wa sekushi- jya nai.
僕はセクシーじゃない。

Would need it clarifying, but to me the sentence doesn't sound quite right without 'yo' よ on then end either as it is stating quite a powerful/emotional/abrupt statement I think.

You don't have to have a Japanese keyboard to type in Japanese.

It might be different for xp or 7, but on vista all you have to do is go to the control panel, click on regional and language options then press add. Add your language of choice and then you can type in the language you chose XD
