Oops! Good catch, delacroix01!
I corrected it in my opening post.

Thanks!

Now I remember, like through a fog though, something i learned in japanese lang. school about homophones and diff. pitch, but man, that was 9y ago...I forgot. Well, I look forward to your answer, this is an interesting quiz!

When the pitch is on the last mora, they are questions, but I may be wrong.

Q い
A まだよ!
No, I absolutely am aware of the fact that the pitch on different mora in declarative sentences changes meaning from 今 to 居間, but I'm not sure which is which. I'm lucky that context has made it pretty clear my entire life which is which.

いまに行きます。
Is this "I am going to the living room" or "I am going now"? hehe

Haha, well that makes things more clear. I believe 新大阪 is another 新-containing word.

I read しんおおかさ and figured it was a special cultural word for a special kind of umbrella.

D'oh. One of those words that makes sense in context but isn't really part of my active vocabulary that I can call on at will. I tend to just say 新しい車. Let's chalk it up to my pride in 大和言葉 over 漢語.

3. What do the following words mean when they are pronounced with the high pitch accent placed on the syllable in red in Standard Japanese?

Eugh. I'm no good with pitch accents.... I think this needs revisiting. It's not something I've been taught.. more just picked up as I've gone along. I'll have a go, though.

きた North?
きた came?

いま now
いま I don't know another word that's pronounced いま

4. Write the onomatopoeias that you can think of when hearing/seeing these words.

パラパラ
雪 忘れちゃった

5. What are the onomatopoeias that you most actively use when speaking or wrting in Japanese?

ぎよんご

6. Write the 大和言葉 counterparts of the following Chinese loan words.

現在

生活

I don't even know where to start!

7. What do these two sentences mean?

なんで行くの? Why will you go?
なにで行くの? How will you go?
