Android VS Iphone - which apps are better for learning Japanese?
It's coming to the time where I upgrade my phone. I already use an iphone 3G, but I'm not sure if I should upgrade to 4S or Samsung Galaxy S2. The S2 has better specs in seemingly every way, but does it have the same variety of apps for learning Japanese? I'm currently using Kotoba! - A dictionary JLPT study - Kanji and vocab flash cards. Which apps do you use for your iphone, or android? How would you rate them? |

I have Kotoba for reference and Japangoggles (if and when it works) to find out kanji I don't recognize. But for a learning tool, I use かな・かな. It's a vocabulary builder, with a bunch of hirakana floating on the screen. You must form words with them by moving them around, any combo will do. There are different levels, where you must make words corresponding to certain theme, etc. It's the first time I've encountered the concepts "learning in Japan" and "fun" in connection with each other.
