In nuance, it is more like "I never expected that I would end up dancing!"
or "I never could have expected ~~~."

「～～ことになる」 does not always involve a decision made by someone else. More often, it describes the consequence of general circumstances or a course of events.

This is the difference between 「ことになる」 and 「ことにする」, the latter of which always involves a decision actively made by the person in question.

Just keep struggling through stuff and coming here for questions. It gets much easier them more you do it. It helps if you have a huge vocabulary, so the only thing that makes you hesitate is grammar.

I've found that, over the past month or two of reading more Japanese again, things have gotten increasingly easier to read without reference to anything else.

today I find this strange sentence :
昨日Miyoさん達とロンドンライブの打ち合わせをしつつ食事してきました


I could translate as
Yesterday while having a meal, I had the meeting of london concert with Miyo san and others (達と?).

or
Yesterday while having a meal, we (達と?) had the meeting of london concert with Miyo san.

(I can't understand why there's Miyoさん達と and the 'meeting of London live'.
It should not be a meeting about the London Live? Why there's the 'の'? It sound strange for me).

+ "達と" can be used to do the plural, for example, if you put that next the japanese word 'student', it become 'students' (plural).
But in this case, since the name of the person is one, Miyo san, how it become plural?

「の」 is the most-often used particle in Japanese and it can be translated into a few words: of, about, in, at, etc.

ロンドンライブの打ち合わせ = discussion of the London live concert

イタリアの本 = a book on Italy

東京のレストラン = restaurants in Tokyo

Miyoさん達 means "Miyo and others", "Miyo and his/her people/friends/associates", etc. It does not say "many Miyos" or "multiple Miyos"

like the melody floats thinking " but this is when me I'm busy " ?

こればかりは解らないなぁ
