Thanks so much. I didn't think they'd have my name. I'd only ever seen one other person with it. I'm getting a tattoo and was trying to decide what Kanji but now I know that I have Kanji for my name, I know what I'll use. I think I'll prefer to write it in Japanese now. Thanks alot, Loveless ^^ How would you translate Julian? a friend of mine's curious

my name: noni ノニ this is it in katakana and now in kanji 野に it means putting away the bad and giving compassion. this is a good kanji, i mean that it is good luck. to japanese people, their kanji can mean A LOT. my other japanese teacher, had his kanji done and he had it done in japan. the person who did it, went through kanji and helped him pick his kanji. for instance, one kanji for his name meant death...of course he didnt pick that. then they found kanji that meant teacher of great respect...something along those lines. newho, a japanese persons kanji can mean alot. some have actually had their kanji changed because they beleived their kanji had caused them bad luck and they want better kanji.i dont think you can really directly translate something from english to kanji or hiragana/katakana to kanji because u may end up with something meaning chicken and fried frogs legs...u dont want that do you?^_^well, ill try and get that kanji for u. ill probably have it either wednesday or thursday. yes this is a long post...ii desu ka? |
