Japanese pronunciation is simple; it's a syllabary.
I'm assuming yours came out as タイラー. タ - Ta イ - I ラ - Ra ー - Trailing (unlike in Hiragana, you do not repeat a character to double a vowel sound, you simply add a trailing mark such as this to double the vowel) Ta as in Tah I sounds like E Ra as in Rah, with a slight trail at the end for the vowel sound. A little hard to explain, much easier if you hear it... ~Nao PS: Foreign names are very easy, don't need to bother using some machine translator. All foreign names are written in katakana, and since it's a syllabary, it's very easy to piece together names. |
