Practice Japanese on your mobile phone -
05-10-2007, 05:45 PM
Hello! I have written a small flashcard program for mobile phones, and thought I'd share.
It can show random words from a word list and their translation, or you can guess the correct translation, or view the whole list. Kanji are supported. There are several word lists included, some are Japanese-English and some are Japanese-Norwegian. It is possible to create your own word lists, to do so you will need to have Python and PIL installed. Screenshots, instructions and download here: Kunren Handy for getting in a few minutes of practice during breaks, while on bus, etc. Comments welcome. |

The files you want are kunren.jar and kunren.jad in the 'jar' folder.
How to install it depends on what kind of phone you have. If you have a Nokia, you can use Nokia PC Suite to install applications, I'm not sure about other brands. You could also try downloading with your mobile from http://folk.ntnu.no/hitland/kunren/kunren.jad |
