I have a question about くれます. What I understand is that when someone gives "you" something, you use But when someone gives "someone else" something, you use あげます
So, in this example (taken from みんなの日本語 2) :
--> someone else asks
。。。 --> receiver answers
In the question sentence, since the speaker is not the "receiver" but is "someone else" why is it not
Is it because both the speakers are the same family? Only in this case?
