Why would they do that? It's a live-action film, not an animated one. Besides, there are two other Deathnote movies (live-action), and they don't even have US releases. I doubt they'd skip the first two movies just to show the third.

well america probaly hasnt bought the rights for the others
and they will show it if it came from an anime that was in their possesion

The movies were out (in production) before the anime.

I doubt they'd bring the movie over and show it on television as a sub. If anything, we'd get a dub and even then, I still couldn't see a station like Cartoon Network playing it. Maybe a sub or raw on like AZN, but not any other channel.

If anything, if they do finally get the rights to the first two movies (which came out in 2006), I'm sure it'd just get a DVD release.
