I mean, of course, I love Miyavi (otherwise I wouldn't have bought this movie), but we all know he isn't actually a great actor lol. So I was prepared for the worst. But actually Oresama is really enjoyable - even for people who don't speak Japanese. It's easy to understand the plot and all the funny moments.
But I was ESPECIALLY happy about the fact that Oresama isn't silly. I mean it's not only about Miyavi being cute and funny and freaking out, it really DOES have an idea. So I really recommend Oresama to all Miyavi fans and just to people that want to see a nice Japanese movie. |

I watched Oresama all the way through this summer and I loved it.
It is a bit short, but that's okay. It gets it's point across. When I watched bits of it before, it wasn't subbed, but I still understood what was going on. If you go and look it up on YouTube, several people have the entire movie subbed in English in different parts. When it's subbed, I found it a lot more enjoyable, since I got more of the jokes than I did before. ^_^ There is something that bothers me, though... The movie takes place in August of 1984. ... Mister Meevs was born in September of 1981. >.< |
