No, because the information has been out too long, there's even a teaser out for it and the information is up on Toei's official site. That's way too much effort for a holiday that's not celebrated in Japan. Besides, they just came out with that DBZ special last November, which takes place 2 years after the Buu Saga and the timing of when DBZ starts up next month seems almost like an anniversary thing. DBZ started, in Japan, in April of 1989...here it is 2009, the series, in general, is still ultimately popular over there, and also the 20th year since it started.

Lol, that makes a lot of sense. I could see that happening.

Was it something I said? Whatever it was, I didn't mean it. I haven't meant anything I've said for years. Except what I just said. I think

I don't think it needs a remake, it's perfect just the way it was (is).

I just prefer it in English over it's Japanese dubbing, IMO they did a much better job.

I'll have to see what this "DB:Kai" is going to entail.

I'm a little curious, but not all that much.
I agree; I prefer the English dubbing over the Japanese voice-acting too. Though, looking a little deeper, I think it's somewhat of a matter of bias. If I were to grow up liking DBZ with the Japanese dubbing (which is unlikely ~ but hypothetically speaking...), I'd probably be saying the opposite.

As for the new movie...
Initially, I was very critical of it - and I still am - but I have to admit, it does look pretty cool (with the exception of Piccolo). I'd probably watch it... I just wouldn't look at it as a true DBZ movie.

About the filler episodes...
Am I the only one that really didn't care? Seriously, I enjoyed the show. I think people just complain a little too much.

In regards to which series is the best?...
I liked DB and DBZ. GT was a little "eh..." for me.

DB was a little more down-to-earth; a little more fun to watch. Like SSJup said, the storyline revolved around skill and adventure and less around power. Because of this, I feel the characters had more personality.

DBZ was more colorful than DB -- both literally and figuratively. It had intense action and good suspense. It was also longer, allowing for more variety, in terms of villains and events.

For me, as I mentioned, it was how the filler was done, not the fact that it had filler that was annoying. They extended stuff out way too much. They extended canon arcs out for far too long. The Freiza Saga is still a headache. Five minutes until Namek blows...20 eps later, they're still fighting!! Yes, I did exaggerate that, but that's w hat it felt like.

For me, it's definitely Dragon Ball. I like Z too. GT, I liked how it started, because it was very Dragon Ball-ish. An adventure to search for the Dragon Balls and meeting new people and beings while searching for it. It became too DBZish for my liking later on.

Yep yep. I prefer skill and adventure to power power power power, ki blast ki blast ki blast. I like DBZ, but that aspect started to bug me after a while, even though I did like the DBZ characters; ironically, I wasn't a big fan of most of the villains for DBZ. I preferred the DB villains. Seemed more "real" to me or something. One person actually told me that I probably liked DB more than DBZ is because I'm female. Like that has anything to do with it, probably. lol

Too long! >< It may have had variety, but it got annoying that these villains just wouldn't die or kept having other forms, even if the fight scenes were cool. I just wished it didn't take so long to get to the point where Z is concerned.

Main thing I did like for Z, regarding the Freiza saga, was how much hatred and dislike Vegeta had towards Freiza. Wish they could've kept in more background story to show what Vegeta went through as opposed to just a small glimpse. I think the Freiza Saga is when I really became a Vegeta fan.

Aw, wish I could've seen it. So, how was the first episode compared to how it was originally?
