A TV programme's dialogue

Lately I watched again 青い鳥 (L`oiseau Bleu) - 青い鳥 (テレビドラマ) - Wikipedia

It is a good drama. However, I have a question regarding to a dialogue between しおり and しばたよしもり.

Probably at the episode 8 (or 9), there is a conversation between しおり and しばたよしもり (in a night and they sat on the bench). しおり had a question and wanted to ask しばたよしもり. And then しおり was wondering what is the purpose of しばたよしもり to stay alive because しばたよしもり replied her "... even if ... (he is) very lonely, he will still stay alive."

What is the Japanese sentence that しばたよしもり repled to しおり? Because I can't read Japanese sentence and the sentence in the programme I watched is translated. So I only know that しばたよしもり probably replied her that he will keep alive even if he is very lonely.

Would anyone be able to tell me the sentence in that scene? Or point me to where there may contain such dialogue?
