Looking for a TV show about Japanese expats

Hey, I'm looking for a particular TV show. It's about Japanese families who moved abroad. I know it was still broadcast around 2007. I need some footage to surprise a friend (he was featured in an episode). If anyone could tell me the name I would be hugely appreciative.

Do you know who broadcast it? Some stations like BBC, and probably NHK, have records on their sites of all their shows, sometimes you can even purchase or ask for copies of the shows. If you know which station originally aired it then it might help you to find it.

Unfortunately I don't know the station. All I know is that it is a Japanese show. My friend's parents are from Japan, and they moved here to Ireland about ten years ago. So a few of us are hunting for the footage to make a video for him. If I can coax any more info out of him I will post it.

Neither. It is a documentary, or reality show.

Don't they already have that? :S I mean we have NHK on our television, it's not 24-hours news as it has a variety of shows, but the news is on every hour on the hour. It's not really a question of 'going to' if they've already done it. It's also not the first 24-hour all-English news channel either. . . unless you mean a first in Japan, or a first for that station
