I recently finished Su-ki-da based on the recommendation from a friend. I really enjoyed it, although I must warn you all that it is very, very slow. I'm a huge slice-of-life, slow-paced kinda person, and even I noticed how slow the movie moves. But if you can tolerate the slowness, sit back, relax, and enjoy the wonderful cinematography.

Trivium's 4th album "Shogun" out 9/30 Metal 4 Life He who walks the fire breathes Unlike the rest Living by the bloody creed Kirisute gomen Air of battle tasting stale Reeks of deceit Send the bitter straight to hell Kirisute gomen Quake has bred with the storm Conceiving war Wicked stampeding hordes Kirisute gomen He who spits the fire seethes All he detests Decapitating, bloody creed Kirisute gomen |

Battlestar Galactica is my current thing. And the olympics! i'm addicted to both.
This fall, i plan to watch Terminator:TSCC, Knight Rider, BSG, Eureka, Stargate Atlantis, Doctor Who(oler 1960s eps until the 2009 season) and i HOPE there will be new episodes of Gladiators. My japanese shows continue: Kamen Rider Kiva, Macross Frontier, Ultraviolet Code44, Engine Sentai Go-Onger, and i'll be going back and watching OLD anime, starting with Combattler, which i have all of, subbed in English. But, if anyone has ANY suggestions, i am open to them. there are SO many shows to watch from Japan, but which is right for me? Is there a TV guide for Japanese shows that catagorizes them? like :Sci-Fi, Super Hero, Fantasy, game show, etc? As you can see, i'm heavy into the mentioned categories. I'm beginning to get annoyed with subtitles, and almost prefering the RAW shows. It kind of FORCES me to learn Japanese. i'm looking for friends who speak Japanese. I am learning Japanese on my own, using books and Pimsleur's Speak and Learn Japanese. But i am only on lesson12, so i'm not very good. I just learned how to ask about time. There are NO Japanese speakers in my area, but a Japanese shop 40 miles south in Cary. If you know of any Japanese events in Raleigh, especially NORTH Raleigh, NC, PLEASE lmk! TIA! |
