When I listened to it for the second time, I did like it; it's just that Sono's sudden pitch changes take getting used to, and what bothered me the most was the fact that they decided to say they were doing something that sounded like something it doesn't, as I'm sure many of their fans don't listen to that type of music. Oh, well. I'm still waiting for my copy. Also, the song will be played on Cure Rock Radio soon.

OK people, we are currently voting for the bassist for the Cure Media USA super group, and I nominated Yo-sama. You get to vote for two people, and here's why you should vote for him:

\m/(>_<)\m/ THE GREATEST MATENROU OPERA SONG EVER (thus far) \m/(>_<)\m/
YouTube - 摩天楼オペラ Matenrou Opera - "電脳パラノイア" LIVE (lyrics in description)

Seriously, watch the whole thing, especially towards the end \m/(>_<)\m/
YouTube - 摩天楼オペラ Matenrou Opera - "Datura" LIVE (jap and english lyrics in description)

People, you might have to put on some ear buds to fully enjoy and understand this YouTube - 摩天楼オペラ Matenrou Opera - "Yo's solo" LIVE

You might also have to put in earbuds for this(I didn't check, because I'm in a hurry to vouch for Yo-sama, but on the album, the guitar is quite loud, so it can be somewhat difficult to hear his godliness unless you've been picking apart instruments for a while):
YouTube - 摩天楼オペラ Matenrou Opera - "Tsuki no Suna" LIVE (jap and english lyrics in description)

The nominees are:
alice nine - Saga
An Cafe - Kanon
DespairsRay - Zero
Dir En Grey - Toshiya
(the) Gazette - Reita
Girugamesh - Shuu
Matenrou Opera - You
Nightmare - Ni-Ya
-OZ- - Nao
Vidoll - Rame

I don't know if anybody finds this information particularly useful since I am assuming most of us are not in Japan and to be able to do things like this, you will need to be very proficient with the language and have a work visa(which is generally a pain to get, so the band might refuse you for that reason alone), but Matenrou Opera is looking for roadies for each position(in other words, one for bass, guitar, etc). Since my Japanese and kanji reading skills aren't that fantastic, I'm not sure what all of the stipulations are, but I know that some of them are that you be healthy, have common sense and motivation. After that, the members might have their own stipulations (for example, Yo-sama says that you should like sake/alcohol, though he says that's negotiable XD).

Anyway, the details are at their official site.

According to one of the members' blogs, they will be adding a date to their one man tour to celebrate Anzi's birthday. Therefore, it will be on 2/24, and will happen at Meguro Rokumeikan, but there aren't any other details yet.

Glad to see more fans of this great band,
the first song of their's I heard was "Honey Drop", during the summer of '09. They have quickly become one of my favorite VK bands, my favorite song by them is currently, Boukyaku Celluloid.

URGENT NEWS!!!

Tomorrow/day after tomorrow(depending on where you're at), Cure will be doing a photo shoot with Matenrou Opera for the cover of their next issue, and they will be on Twitter!!! They are set to begin at 13:00(1 pm) Japan time on Monday(in Japan and for those of us living in or near the east coast of the US; it'll still be Sunday for everybody else living on this side of the planet). To participate, you need to follow cure_office.

For more details regarding this, please sign up to Cure Media USA's mailing list, as they will be sending out an e-mail regarding the event, including changes to the schedule if there are any(to join the mailing list, you'll need to upload the radio by clicking "listen live"). If I find anything else out, I will update as well. Please pass this on!

Update on the Twitter event; unfortunately, Matenrou Opera rescheduled their photo shoot for tomorrow. It's still at the same time, so basically, it'll be 3/29 or 3/30 depending on where you live.

News for people attending Matenrou Opera's anniversary live at CC Lemon Hall on the sixth of May. They will be selling their seventh maxi single at TOWER RECORDS in Shibuya on the same day. The single is called GENESIS/R, will cost 1260, and will only be on sale at that particular store on that particular day at 15:00(3 pm). It should be unnecessary to say this considering the circumstances, but anyway, there is a limited amount of copies, so do as Yo-sama says:

5/6は渋谷へGO!!
