Personally, I prefer JRock for it's sound.

However, like western Rock, JRock has its fair share of bad bands who sound the same.

In times like that, I go for Techno, and Pop

i think its funny how the people who are bumming j-rock have only heard of the 3 main bands. I voted western rock, but i dont like it. I prefer DEATH METAL and stuff of the sort.. I do like Maximum the Hormone.. J-Metal.. if you will?

Death metal is a subgenre of metal which is a subgenre of rock. It includes them all.

Sub-genre's confuse me... Especially electronica sub-genres (or is electronica a sub-genre and the genre it branches off of called something else... )

I think it's sorta unfair. JRock isn't as old as western rock, and western rock is only winning because people mostly listen to old rock (a majority of them, anyway).

Maybe we should restrict the "western rock" portion of the poll to western rock from the 80's and on?
