And there all Japanese bands and artist?? I generally like music that appeals too me and I've had my music taste picked apart before. But just because I like alot of American music isn't the reason why Dir En Grey appeals to me. They appeal to me because there still different, if you listen to there most current album against say a 30 Seconds to Mars, or AFI, or Even Chevelle whom I would call Mainstream american bands, they don't sound similar at all. Not even close. I found them because they were different not because they were Americanized.

The only album from them I can say I didn't enjoy much was "The Marrow Of A Bone." Other than that I'd say there a top notch band but that's just my opinion though. ^_^
Thank you, min.

my feelings are the same, except I like Marrow too.

@ ning
I know you weren't meaning me, but I just have to comment.
I like plenty of others.

Miyavi, Gackt, the GazettE, alice nine., LM.C, Buck Tick, hide, Kiyoharu, Takanori, nightmare, MUCC, Girugamesh, Kanon, An Cafe, SuG, Jealkb, for a small list.

now back to ontopic.

I remembered one... Nii, from Giru.. I still love him though.
ok.... the other is ShuU.

Minimin, I wasn't trying to offend you at all. I was just saying that if Japanese music isn't the main majority of what you listen to then people tend to gravitate toward Dir En Grey when they hear them. There isn't anything wrong with that. I've just been listening to almost nothing but Japanese music for the last 5 years, so when great bands like Dir En Grey change their sound to something that sounds nothing like what they used to be I get disappointed.

I wasn't insulting anyone's opinions though and I apologize if you felt that way.

And I wasn't insulting you either, Miyavifan :] but I'm sure you know that.

Yep. I know. I didn't for a second think you were.

you know, it's odd... the majority of what I used to listen to was American music, but now the majority of it is Japanese.

That's usually how it happens. I gave up on American music when I was 14 when I was introduced to Hyde, Gackt, Malice Mizer, and Miyavi. Now, 5 years and 200 bands later..haha

Also, Ryuutarou from Plastic Tree:

I don't really think he's unattractive I guess, but there's something about his face that I find odd. I can't put my finger on it though.

I wish I'd been into it for that long. I wouldn't have missed so much.

I can't put my finger on it either.

Well, if you're not living in Japan, chances are that you've missed a lot when it comes to the music. I've been into it for 5 years and I still find things that I'm like "Dammit, why couldn't I have found this earlier?"

And I think it's either something about Ryuutarou's mouth or nose that I'm not loving. He has creepy eyes, but that's sort of cute.

So many posts in one day . . . !

I have never listened to Dir en Grey.

I have never listened to Larcenciel.

Ryuutarou is not attractive; just emo or something. That one guy from D is, though. I can't remember what you guys said his name was.

True.

I think maybe it's his nose... I'm just not sure. I thought about it being his eyes... but I rather like them.

@ Yoshimi

seriously. You've never listened to either?

hmm.. guy from D. I can't remember now.

Eh I see your point your trying to make there, Jus had to let you know I'm not like that ^_^ Lots of people do gravitate towards Dir En Grey, as first Jrock band.

Rest in peace Kyle <3
