Western music? Really, Pop and rock all over the US and Europe sound the same. I don't like pop at all, so I'm not defending J-pop. Period. Rock also sound the same, mostly. But in Japan it's like 'yeah, blast ME'. The VK has really catched me and I'm so into it. Alice Nine represents one of those J-bands that have their total own style of music, so is Diru, the GazettE and Phantasmagoria. ~

XD

I meant like, to a Japanese person who's used to their music over there, they might see Western music as original and whatnot. I've got friends who've been into VK and jRock for about 7+ years now. Don't know how they can listen to it but each to their own I guess.

And music has dropped in quality over the past years (in US+Europe) D: I'm personally more into avante-garde, shoegaze, folk etc XD But ahwells, most of the music I listen to nowadays have been with me for at least 2 years now, can;t seem to find anymore bands that catches my ears. I've had people telling me that i'm just scared of listening to new/different music. Wutf? D:

I only really like the japanese fashion scene <3~x

Oh :x Well... Maybe, but the Japanese are actually more into their own pop, if you look at the charts. (; But anyway. Alice Nine is a good band and that's what this thread is about. For Arisu Nain fans n__n

I like them more and more each time I listen to them. They sound great, I like their look, and I adore Shou's voice even if some people say he sounds funny.

I love his voice n__n

I don't think he's the best vocalist ever, but he has that deep voice, and nobody can say he sounds like all other Japanese singers. He can sing, and that's true, but I'm not satisfied with his lives (I'm satisfied allright in all other ways of course). He has to train his voice a little more I think and... Keep on being Shou ~

I haven't heard live performances of theirs, but I've read comments and usually Shou's vocal at lives is a common complaint. I'll have to check out a few YouTube clips to see and hear for myself. I like his voice in recordings at least. Nice deep voice...
