Racism against Japanese Music -

My family and friends have been making fun of me for listening to Dir en Grey. They keep saying stuff like "how can you listen to that stupid jap music? you cant even understand it." then then mock it by trying to imitate a japanese person singing, but they aren't even speaking a real language.
My dad was the worst. But he didn't just get on about the music he was going full on about Pearl harbor and stuff like that. Finally, yesterday i forced him to listen to my Dir en grey CD on my way home. And guess what? He fucking liked it o_o People need to stop being racist about Japanese music. And stop underestimating Jrock. It is good, you just have to give it a chance. But, he said they sounded like Tool. Who is Tool? D8 Worthless people live only to eat and drink; people of worth eat and drink only to live.

but i completly understand you my folks can't stand them...but who cares... i don't really care what they think....JROCK IS THE BEST <333

My dad can stand them.
He likes rock. I knew he would like Dir en grey. Just like his music, but in a different language...and..more..screaming x] Jrock is definatly the best.  Worthless people live only to eat and drink; people of worth eat and drink only to live.

but seriously o_o the racist comments about jrock need to stop i guess it is kind of fair though. because, if someone over in japan was listening to ..50 cent or Eminem people would probably make pretty much the same comments, just the other way around. but still. its not nice D8 its good music.. but it is an acquired taste so...you know, i really dont know where I stand in this non existent argument. *dies* Worthless people live only to eat and drink; people of worth eat and drink only to live.

my dad says horrible racist remarks about the music and the country as a whole that i wont repeat and my mum doesnt know the word jrock and doesnt wish to understand it either
but i cant expect them to like it although i do expect them to respect it and my choice to listen to it but if they dont like it its no big loss i will continue to listen to what i like regardless of there opinions

i just ignore my dad now. i really dont care what he says.
and, my mom. she doesnt care what I listen to. aslong as she doesnt hear it. she likes country o_O ew..uh, anyways... when it comes to music people are definatly entitled to their own opinion. but you cant go around dissing someones taste in music just because its in a different language. maybe I should start downing my friends music because it tells people to cut themselves oh..lolz..i already do that ;D Worthless people live only to eat and drink; people of worth eat and drink only to live.
