1. the music, obviously. my favorite songs are all fast, hard, and upbeat, and they give me the drive i need.
2. it's so diverse and unique than other genres O_O 3. it's the only genre of music where all the musicians are hot. [in my opinion =p] their hair & makeup are so awesome. 4. the fact that there's a whole scene surrounding it .. for example, visual kei influences a lot of fashion. 5. i learn japanese from it. 6. yo i don't know i just love it LOL. |

![]() I like VK for several reasons, not least of which is the fact that virtually every VK musician I've seen so far is hot.
I love the clothing style. It's a combination of everything I love about English punk, a little bit of emo, and even classic goth. Everything about it speaks to me of freedom of expression, simply throught its variety. I ADORE the music. I can't stress enough how much I love Visual Kei music. It, like the fashion, is so widely varied and interesting and bright. It always makes me smile. This is why I love VK. I do have one bone to pick with it, though; I understand that the girly men make women a little surplus, but seriously. VK needs girls. Also I have a question, if I may; could a band born and bred in England be classified as VK, provided its sound and style fitted the bill? :/ |

@kireikoori, I agree with the reasons you gave in the first post.
Mmm.. I like Visual Kei, because I love that kind of combination between visual things (such us make-up, their looks, how do they act in lives, etc) and music skills (what I've heard from j-rock is always great, great guitar solos, great bass intros, great vocals, etc). Furthermore, I always liked androgynous people, 'cause I think there is no need to divide both sexes, so, guys who look like females, and some girls that look like boys (or girls that look like boys that look like girls u.ú), I just love them. And, some months ago I started caring about japanese culture, and as I love lenguages, I just can't stop loving japanase. I think it is a very interesting lenguage, and I love the way some j-rockers use it. Because there are really good j-rock lyrics out there, lyrics that can express too many feelings, lyrics that really rock. So, I think it is a comprehensive (I don't know if this is the word I'm looking for, but anyway xD) kind of music which I'm just starting to listen but I really like it ^^ |

It is cool about blurring the gender lines, androgyny, etc. And it's unique and interesting music. And Completely Hott Guys. I love the clothing styles. I like learning Japanese, but at the same time I like not knowing what the lyrics are.
This is really weird, but maybe three years ago, my sister was into jrock/vk before me, and i got really annoyed at her actually because she would always listen to it. Now I'm completely crazy about it, talk about irony! I got into it partly from her eventually, but mostly after i visited harajuku. sycayersou@ That is true that VK doesn't have many girls... I guess it's very fangirl fueled. That's an interesting point you brought up to, about other countries doing vk. In my opinon, it wouldn't be. Not that vk is only sung in Japanese, since they do english, or engrish a lot themselves, but i just don't think it would be the same, somehow. ![]() 雅はアメリカに行きます! 빅뱅하고 태군하고 허영생하고 동방신기하고 MBLAQ하고 아웃사이어하고 F.Cuz하고 U-Kiss를사랑해요! ![]() My Youtube
