A lot of people say that Evanescence are fake etc, just cos they hit it big with "bring me to life" and others didn't. We fans know they're not fake though and what they're really made of I don't care if there was rapping or anything within the song. Even though it isnt even substantial rapping like Mike Shinoda does in Linkin Park. Only a few lines are sung and it doesn't even sound like rap lol.
Anyway, Amy Lee tries different tacts in her music and some of the songs shes did without the aid of a studio, are quite impressive. You have to be a fan, to have every single song they've ever done though, others just don't understand the bigger picture Little things like when she laughs at the end of the song 'call me when you're sober' and says "i've made up your mind". If you watch the video her face goes sombre again after the laugh, portraying how hurt she is by the whole ordeal the song is talking about and that the laugh was just a mask. I dunno, its genius and noone can tell me otherwise. So is the song "like you" from the second album. Its much much more powerful... Truth Hurts LIFE THREATENING Lifestyles A HITMAN, A NUN Lovers

well, I assume so anyway. Amy said that she had a song devoted to her sister in every album...and Even in Death really sounds just like Like You...it's the only song from Origin that really fits. The Open Door is technically their third album though...it's just the second one since they hit it big...and you can't find Origin anywhere T.T Like You's probably my favorite...I think Hello has more sorrow behind it...but yeah, Like You is more powerful...plus Hello is odd in my range when I try to sing it. ...and Even in Death doesn't have nearly as much emotion behind it as the other two IMO. thnx boboloko for the sig! |

Also songs like "Missing" and "Further Away" of which there are two versions cos of all the unofficial albums. (The version of "Missing" on their DVD 'anywhere but home' is the better version in my opinion.) Truth Hurts LIFE THREATENING Lifestyles A HITMAN, A NUN Lovers

I really like Evanescence, but I don't really like their newest album, The Open Door. They changed their style a lot.
I like the old work like Anywhere, Where Will You Go, Before The Dawn and So Close most. |

I'm not a real big fan of evanescence, there songs have the same beat as each other just different words. There okay every now and then but its not like I will listen to them everyday (-_- )
