Best English anime song sung by Japanese people... - 05-23-2008, 03:14 PM

I'll admit that most anime songs sung in english by Japanese singers are crap... But there are a few exceptions..

My favourite is the opening theme from Berserk, "Tell me why"... It's a little heavier so the fact that you can't understand what they are saying doesn't matter as much... It kind of reminds me of british punk music...

Duvet by BoA from Serial Experiments Lain doesnt count, does it? Lol. I think she's Korean.

But outside of anime music, I'd definitely have to say that Hyde sings English the best.

Looked through through the list and was shocked that there is NO! L'Arc~en~Ciel listed --> It's damn the best band I ever heard! (in fact IMO)

and also all their solos are worth to listen to.

S.O.A.P. (Sons of All Pussys)
ken
TETSU69/tetsu
Acid Android
Hyde (just to complete the list however the nice person above me already mentioned xD)
Vamps (still no song released, but Hyde+K.A.Z. must be good ^.~)

~ maybe will post later more bands I think have to be recommended) ~

Japanese music of the 80's - 05-31-2008, 09:15 PM

Does someone know any Japanese hits from the 80's? I know that Sandra Cretu was known there and Arabesque. I ask about songs written in Japan. Anyone?

Princess Princess - Diamonds and Princess Princess - Julian. These are very pretty songs. And Rebecca - Friends - gentle, slow melody and curious movie clip. The rest I'll check later beacause it's 25 after midnight in Poland now! It announces good. I like very much soundtrack from Dragon Ball that has been made in the 80's too.

instrumentals from most of the miyazaki movies. ^^
they were made pretty early on.

i think most of it was composed by Joe Hisaishi.
