Whilst i'm in Japan i'd love to take in a football (soccer) game.
We are in Saitama on Sat/Sun 18th/19th October for a gig at the Super Arena. Urawa reds are playing on the friday, is it easy to get tickets ? They have a 64k capacity, but they are top of the league, so.... ? |

Here's the official seating chart. When I went last year, I sat in the SC seats. Although they look like crap on the site, I got a great, clear view of the game from top. This section wasn't full, and I got my tickets only a few days in advance, so I would say it's fairly easy to get SC tickets. On the other hand, the A section is packed and is where all the hardcore fans are at. I don't know how easy it would be to get those tickets, or if those seats are reserved for season ticket holders or whatnot. While the A section would definitely get you in the mood, I heard that it's pretty tiring since you're standing/jumping the whole time while chanting, and don't really get a good look at the game. There was plenty of loud chanting and fist-pumping in my section too, so it again, depends on what you're looking for. Either way would be lots of fun! And here's a photo I took of the stadium for reference. It's obvious where A is, and as you can see, lots of empty seats up top. Btw, is it Loud Park that you're attending on the 18th? |

Hi,
I will travel to Tokyo from 21st of July until 2nd of August. I looked for some Footballgames during this short time. So on the Gameday of 25th there are two options: Urawa vs Nagoya or F-Tokyo vs Hiroshima I will stay at Setagaya. So it would be much easier for me to go the first game at the Ajinomoto Stadium. But i heard much about the atmosphere of the Urawa Fans and the Stadium so I would like to go there. Therefore I have two questions: Is it easy to get a ticket for the Urawa Game, what are the costs of such a ticket and where can I purchase some? And the second Question: How long do I have to calculate, when I want to go to Saitama Stadion from Shinjuku (Tokyo) ? Is it more then 2 hours, and can I manage to get back in time (to Shinjuku, or better said Umegaoka) by the public transportsystem? One last question: Where can i purchase tickets for the FC Tokyo? |
