I train by my self now, use to train in a dojo, so I think I manage to learn pretty well now by myself. Anyone of you guys who train by yourself and how do you think it works?

Maybe... But, in terms of practice and conditioning, training at home can be "alright".
This is, of course, assuming you've had prior training and know what you're doing.

I agree, though. It can sometimes make time managemant complicated.
Personally, I only train at home because I have too many responsibilities to disappear for hours. Otherwise, I'd visit the dojo as much as possible.

Yeah but I know the basics, trained Goju Ryu Karate for about 3 years.
But I cant learn anything new by training by myself, just improve the old stuff.

Indeed it's impossible to learn new things.

The only martial art I've ever taken, about four or five years ago, was Aikido, and I didn't care much for it. I guess that type of martial art just isn't for a person like me, who kept getting nervous that I might hurt the person I was practicing with.

That aside, I've always been interested in Kendo and Kyudo. Does anyone here participate in Kyudo? If I get into JET and have a good placement near a place that teaches it, I'd like to join a Kyudo class.

If you are afraid to hurt anyone, I think you should try Kyudo!

Well, with Kendo, you have all that gear on, so that fear probably wouldn't be as intensified as throwing or tossing a person, like I had to do in Aikido. But yeah, I am highly interested in Kyudo. Maybe I'll try it someday.
