Its true. Thankfully I can continue practicing the pins and base movements for the techniques. The problem is that I cant perform some of the throws on people (as I wont be at a dojo) and that my ukemi (rolls/breakfalls) is goind to suffer because of the lack of training.
My shoulders almost healed now, I'm just taking it easy on that side. Thanks for the wishes though. |

I was in Tae Kwon Do when younger but Sensei was bad. He was more interested in practicing his new Psychology degree on us than teaching Martial arts. I recently followed my children into Aikido. My son (13) is a first degree jr. black belt. My daughter (8) is a 1st degree brown. My daughter is very motivated to reach jr black belt. I promised her once she gets her black bet in Aikido she can start another discipline. She has chosen Kung fu style karate. I figure by the time she graduate HS she'll probably have 2 or 3 different black belts. In this day and age, it's a good thing. If my pretty little blonde girl wants to learn how to kick boys butts... Momma is more than willing to pay for it! <grin>
I just wish there was a Kendo club near here, both children would do well in that and it would burn off a lot of this extra energy they always bombard me with. |
