Yes, boxing is a sport, but that's not to say it isn't a martial art by definition. Boxers are definitely human weapons too.

If you like it and you believe you can work with it, it doesn't matter what people say, practice and perfect it as you wish. Bruce Lee, in fact, encouraged adopting many and any martial art that suits your personal interest and style.

I'm into Tae-Kwon-Do. But I need to work on my flexibility.
Also... I want to start practicing Muay Thai. It's way faster and more aggressive than TKD. Plus... I fought against a thug and my performance wasn't good enough as it should be for an advanced blue belt.

I had a friend talk to me about kendo which I thought sounded like me so I looked around for a sensei but alas, nothing in my area. I swear it's like the twilight zone of martial arts. I really love Mau Rakau but again, no kaiwhakaako to be found.

Demonstration below:

Nobody is perfect.
I am nobody.
Therefore, I am perfect.

muay thai - 05-03-2009, 05:48 AM

muay thai is awesome. Been doing it for 2 years and never looked back. I used to do karate but swapped to muay thai because i hated the patterns i had to do in karate. i also went and trained over in thailand for 2 weeks, it was good fun. I would definately reccomend it.
