I see other people on here have practiced kendo. I have too! We should get our own dojo together! (lol, if only. We all probably live a bazillion miles away from each other) I have my own shinai, but haven't practiced in years. I really miss it!

I'm currently learning tai-chi, which is very meditative and relaxing! It's very complicated at first, but with practice anyone can do it.

They may have had Pride and now Dream but the UFC has really surpassed those.
It hasn't supassed K-1. Most Japanese fighters in that do Karate. I think it is still popular there.

I use to compete in Tang Su Do. My dadien is an instructor.
Over here in Aus martial arts is kinda mucked up, cause people just wonna look good they dont care about the actual defense of Karate.
Karate is one MAJOR reason why im going to go to Japan, cause i wonna look at how it should be done lol!

I've been reading a lot of Korean archery stuffs these days. Thank goodness that this tradition is still alive and well in Korea.

Then you probably practice crap. It is not something you can teach yourself, and there are plenty of places in MA you could actually learn if you were truly motivated.

Any thing/place you train that doesn't focus on real-time, non-compliant testing is going to be found wanting.
