Has anyone here played it?

If so, without giving away details... is it a good game?

Its a cool game if you like Dynasty Warriors. Not comparing the two but.. If you like that sort of style (not gameplay) its a good game

I haven't but I want to. I've seen it pretty cheap at some places by my house, but I don't really understand it, which is the reason I haven't bought it. I don't want to spend money on a game I'm not going to like. So, what is the storyline and gameplay like? Also, do you have to play them in order or does it not matter?

all three of them are quite good games and the story is cool . If you like Dynasty Warriors as well Try Samurai Warriors same fighting style as DW and it has Oda Nobunaga and Shingen Takeda and several others

Dynesty warriors and Onimusha are not even remotely associated with one another. They are very different gameplay wise. While, Onimusha has a balanced gameplay, DW is more of a hack and slash. Even story wise Onimusha is a far more superior game. There are 4 games for PS2 in the library right now. Play all of them if you want to understand the story.
