HIalchemist: it's all a matter of taste. I personally couldn't stand the first five FF games (FF6 actually appealed to me). Also, just because a game introduces certain features does not mean it automatically becomes good out of that respect. It's mainly about the execution of the feature.
As for music, I think the music faltered in the later games because most likely, poor old Uematsu was perhaps growing tired of doing music for the same type of game. I'm replaying FFXII now. Forgot how much fun it was fighting, but everything else about it is so tedious, I won't be surprised if I start playing Wild ARMs Alter Code: F instead. |

Earlier i thought FF VII was the best but i think that was cause it didnt really have any competition at that time.
But i replayed it for a short while ago and it wasn't really as good as i thought it was, the story and characters and everything with it felt old and that wasn't simply because of the graphic. Now i would say that FFX is the best since it was the first and almost only game that has touched me emotionally, i almost cried in the end |

what is it with ff7 n ff10?, lol, yesh ff10 is my all time fav game ever and 7's story line was kwl n all n yesh, almost every1 nealy cryed at the end of 10 lol, i bought 7 n 8 for 15 £££ each bran new but never play um, lol, if any 1 sell me 9 id be well happy hahaha...
