It's one of the most original games I've ever played. I spent hours searching for the perfect level through all my audio CDs!! Heh, I love weird rythm games. Ultraseven, I suggest you a great japanese rythm game: it's called "Rythm Tengoku" リズム天国, for GBA. Actually there's also a sequel coming out in july for the DS, I can't wait to get it! |

Sounds cool, I'll check it out. It's true about Vib Ribbon, awesome game despite it's age! I tried some classical music once and the line went off the scale! I bought Vib Ripple fairly recently. Vibri returns (in colour), but the rhythm element is about timing bounces on a trampolene, on which you can import your own pictures using certain digital cameras (Cool idea, except I don't have the right camera!). Not as good as Ripple, it's about time they made another! Which one of my top five games did you go for Cyclamen? |

Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! 2 came out fairly recently, but I still think the original is the best! |

That's so true. Nana-on-sha disappeared after those three little unappreciated masterpieces, it's time for another gem... maybe on a portable system. A Vib title for the DS would be great, the touch screen could be used in many different ways!
I picked up Ouendan, just because Katamari (which is my second choice) is avaliable worldwide, so technically it's not a "japan only" game. I agree, Ouendan is much better than Elite Beat Agents. The gameplay is identical, but the music, the setting, the story and the characters are better in the japanese version |

Vib Ribbon 2 on the DS! It could work, but the secret to the originals longevity is being able to use your own CD's to alter the game. I'd still buy it though. How about Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! on the Wii? Not included in my list is a game called Taiko no Tatsujin for the PS2. Have you ever played it? I bought it a while back with the Drum controller (Tatakon), the next best thing to playing the arcade version. Very addictive with a huge selection of anime, classical and J-POP music. A DS version was released using 2 stylus to drum the screen (maybe a bit too small scale though for a drum game!). Check it out, the Original Arcade Version... |

Taiko no tatsujin is very nice! Actually, there are 2 DS versions, two psp versions and countless ps2 and arcade versions... there's also a keitai gemu version and a Wii version is on its way. It's *really* popular in Japan, where it can be seen in every arcade.
Music is quit good, I excpecially like classical and videogame music since I'm not into anime and j-pop. It's a good game, but only if played with the original controller. Played on a psp or a ps2 without the original controller is quite pointless, but can be fun. The DS versions are nice, putting the taiko on the lower screen was a great idea! Quote:
