I used to play pretty much every bemani game in HS except for

Para para
Pop'n Music
IIDX

not too sure why, IIDX seems cool, just was really bad at it whenever i tried to play. i'll never try Para para tho

never tried it because i figured i'd look like a fool, and after a while the arcade near me got rid of the machine.

small story:

a few years ago at ACEN (the big con near me), there was a group of para para players in the arcade playing on the machine. i went up there, and didn't do actual para para dancing. i just swung my arms to the arrows. but at that point, i was able to play that game on the hardest levels. at the end, i was cheered on.

a few hours later, i went back. a new group was playing. i started to play my first song on the hardest level again w/o the actual dancing. during the middle, the crowd booed me off the machine.

was funny shit ^^
