Resident Evil on the PS1.

It was the scene where you were in a totally quiet corridor and then two dogs jumped through the window. That sort of thing just hadn't happened in computer games before.

There's a game called Necronomicon and it's about vampires. The atmosphere is so scary.

Yup, that's H.P. Lovecraft again with his freaky stories-turned-games XD The grimoire, Necronomicon of Alhazred showed up in the anime Demonbane, which is mainly based off of mythology and Lovecraft's type of work. That guy is one talented writer ;]

His writing is so freaky. When I read his stories, I usually feel very eerie afterward.

My best guy friend is so funny. He told me about this Jekyll and Hyde video game from when he was little. I'm still wtfing over it. The story was really good, but an old video game sounds hilarious.

Thanks for reading!

Yup, everyone I've talked to that has experienced the writing of Lovecraft have described the after-effects as "eerie" and "disturbing." I gotta start reading more of his work. I love that creepy feeling, call me weird.

The GT (Game Trailers) countdown of 10 scariest games of all time ended up awarding Silent Hill as #1. There are only a few games with old, pixely graphics that can scare me. Realistic visuals scare me more, that's why I have a lot of faith in the next generation of horror games.
