Last Gen vs Current Gen.. - 08-27-2009, 04:07 AM

This is the battle that really matters..

Dreamcast, Gamecube, PS2 and Xbox VS. Wii, PS3 and 360.

I've gotta say last gen wins..I just had more fun during that time.

The graphics these days are so detailed it's hard to stay focused... I spend more time zooming in on the walls, going "These brick textures are amazing" than actually playing the game...

The funny as hell because I remember doing exactly that while playing Gears 2 on LIVE..I gotchainsawed from behind while making a smily face on the wall with the nice ass bullet hole effects..

Sure, it's easy to say "SNES 4 life", but that's like comparing a windup camera to a digital camera, apples and oranges.

There's a difference between gaming of that generation and games on these days.

True, I really enjoy old gen better. This gen, companies are focusing to much on multimedia with their console, than gaming . Last gen was pure gaming and I like that better. Old gen games had more feature. All these new graphics are taking to much space in the game disk, so many games lack features. Graphics are also making new games have many glitches.

I'm just saying, something was lost when games switched to 3D. It's not the same kind of fun anymore. And nothing will ever top those old games.

I still love my PS3... But like you said. It's not the same.
