wow, thanx for that info. The game does sound cool. I was hoping Abyss would be good because Legendia was a big disapointment for me compared to Symphonia.

It does sound better actually. At first I was thinking about getting it, now I am really considering it. It isn't a Greatest Hits game yet right?

I don't think so, but don't quote me on that ^_^

You seem to be pretty well informed on RPGs CrimsonNataku, are there any more that you recommend. Maybe some that have become forgotten but everyone should play it?

RPGs? Hmm... I'm assuming that everyone's heard about Final Fantasy games so I'll leave them out ^_^, though I will say that Final Fantasy XII lives up to all the hype it has received; it's really an amazing game.

Aside from those, I've personally really enjoyed Tales of Symphonia, Tales of the Abyss, Grandia II and Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, which I'm told isn't as good as Star Ocean: Second Story, but since I really liked Till the End of Time, that just makes me even more interested in Second Story. I also recommend Suikoden III (which has a very strong replay quality). From the reviews I've read, Suikoden V is also supposed to be very good (Suikoden IV apparently sucked royally). These games are listed in no particular order, but the Tales games are definitely my all-time favorites.

Although I haven't gotten the chance to really play them, the dot hack games seem pretty cool as well (I lost my data on the first game, and I never picked it up again; I have read reviews of them though). However, unless you have seen at least one of the .hack anime, you may be a tad confused as the game series sort of wraps up the loose ends the anime left behind.

Hope this helped.

Wow, like every game you mentioned I have played, or want to play.

Grandia II is so cool, one of the best games ever, I'm glad you mentioned it. There is a Grandia III and it is very worth playing. It was released by SqaureEnix so you can imagine how good it is!

I've always wanted to play the Star Ocean Games, and Suidoken III. Everyone says that part IV was crap and even you said that.

I had a .Hack/Sign game. I didn't play much. I thought it sucked that I had to play a certain character. I couldn't be a mage or a swordmaster...

I loved the .Hack/Sign anime, with Tsukasa, Subaru and all them. It was great.

Thanx for the help Crimson-san!

I'll definitely have to look into that then ^_^.

Star Ocean: Second Story is unfortunately near impossible to find (for a reasonable price), I guess it's because everyone likes it too much they're not selling their used copies ^_^. Star Ocean: Till the End of Time is nice, the battle system is pretty cool (a little complicated though) and you can switch characters during the battle (I'm pretty sure, it's been so long since I've played). Till the End of Time's story isn't stellar, it's pretty standard, but I don't mind. However Second Story is apparently famous for its good story...

If there is only one Suikoden game you can buy, get III. It's got a crazy high replay quality, complex characters, an interesting story, and a fun (in my opinion) battle system. Animation isn't that bad either, but I'm not too picky about that. The big thing about this game is definitely that you can play it at least three times. This is because III has this neat quality where you can choose which of the three main characters' stories you want to experience (they interweave, but the character you choose becomes the character you fight with). It's a really good buy, and I still haven't gotten tired of it. Also, if you complete a particularly hard task (finding all 108 Stars of Destiny, special characters that play some kind of significant role in determining the how the future will turn out), you get to play from the point of view of an additional character...^_^

And yes, Suikoden IV really did suck, for it took place before Suikoden I, II, and III. Even though it was Suikoden IV. Everyone I know who's played it has regretted it.

That is the one thing that bothered me about the game, which is probably why I didn't waste the precious little time I have to play games on them. I have the first two, and I want to play them eventually, but I think I'll play other games in the meantime.

I liked the .hack//SIGN anime as well, it was a very interesting concept, though the ending was a tad of a letdown since they seemed to have omitted some important stuff ^_^;

Star Ocean is also by SquareEnix right?

Wow, this game sounds really cool. I love RPGs that have great replay value. Like Symphonia. When I play that game Iam getting my full moneys worth because of all the bonus things. Did you ever get everything in the game? I almost got everything. Except for a couple of titles.

That's too bad. But thanx for letting me know. I won't waste my time! ^_^

Yes don't tell me, for I have never seen the entire show. But I do love it. It is very unique and it is a story about friendship, love, trust all that. It doesn't need fighting to be good and it's music is legendary!

I managed to get everything EXCEPT like four titles and Collete's Maid Costume she gets in Meltokio Castle (the sidequest thing never appeared...). I also gave up on Nibelheim... ^_^;;; But aside from that, all the sidequests, recipes, collisseum (sp?), abyssion, special summon spirits...I love that game too much. Made cosplay from it for two years in a row.

But I love Tales of the Abyss even more. ^_^
