Yeah, one of my favorites (up to '99 at least... her moves became too hard to connect later one for some serious kick-ass comobs)
and i haven't played KoF for a year now... must install the NeoRageX and play some ^^

- If you mean kyo I don't think he is Shingo's teacher, Shingo is more like obsessive fan boy that kyo attempts to avoid at leasts that has always been my impression

- Tie between Kyo and Blue Mary, one is a character I first played when I got into the series and the other is the one I play now, to my roommates everlasting torment.

- Horrible mistake and Mai Shiranui's breast physics scared me, looked like two demons were attached to her chest.

- contest.. hmm no, im not good enough! saw some guys at the arcades and got a bit intimidated since then, they were doing major combos and knew when to pull of an attack! i get excited in fighting games and tend to button bash alot.. haha

Due to many people here who unfortunately have no ide what is King of Fighters all about i am forced to turn this in-to a educational thread.
Here are some facts about the game:

> The King of Fighters is one of the most popular 2D arcade fighting franchises ever created
> The original game concept is team fighting, where each team consists of 3 (in some games 4) fighters who fight in a player defined order. Take out one of the opponents, you win the round, replenish some of your health and the oponents next fighter appears in front of you, ready to fight. Stage continues until one of the opponents team loses all of their fighters.
> The game were produced by good ol' SNK Playmore (link)
> Originally it was released for the Neo Geo platform (link)
> The 1st KoF Game was released on 1994. SNK decided to realeas a new game of these series every year, which they did until 2004
> Character lineup consists of heroes from other SNK's fighting games (Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, Ikari Warriors and others), as well as introduced many new fighters.
> The game includes awesome character animation, incredibly well done by the time of the release of the game and still is much better then most of those of the latest 2D games.
> The game fighting system includes low mid and air attacks, throws, blocks, combos and desperation moves. Some of the games include striker system where one or several characters in your team are not playable, but can be summoned to assist the player for a brief period of time.
> The super attack system of the game is joystick movement based.
